The Original House
The original house, constructed in 1976, stood as a quaint 2-bedroom property spanning 120m2, on a 609m2 plot. While structurally sound, it was clear that the house required a comprehensive modernization. The interior needed a complete overhaul to align with contemporary living standards, from the layout to the finishes. Additionally, to adhere to current regulations, the pool was to be moved from its original position at the back to the side of the house. This extensive renovation was driven by our desire to both preserve and amplify the unique charm that had initially drawn us to the property.
Breakdown
The renovation process began with stripping the house down to its bare bones, a vital step to thoroughly modernize the structure from the inside out. At the heart of our comprehensive overhaul was the decision to expand the living space from 120m2 to 150m2. This wasn't just about adding square meters; it was about creating room for new memories, adding an extra bedroom that would offer more space for family and friends. This expansion was a pivotal move in elevating both the home's value and its functionality.
